The premise of the show revolves around the fact that Shaggy Rogers' incredibly rich Uncle Albert Shaggleford disappears and names Shaggy as his sole heir for an inheritance. This is the first Scooby-Doo series where Shaggy is not voiced by Casey Kasem, although he was included in the show. It was the final animated series to involve Hanna-Barbera's co-founder Joseph Barbera before his death in 2006. The show debuted on September 23, 2006, and ran for two seasons during the Kids' WB Saturday morning block of The CW Television Network, ending on March 15, 2008.
